Moons, the album, was created between May and September 2021. Moons, the jovian satellites, compelled its creation by their magnetic dance.

These short sketches vary in size and shape with an emphasis on cycles and polymeter. Effects like flange and delay intend to evoke orbital swirl and immense distance. Structurally, tracks generally conform to A and B parts in two minutes or less. The album was almost entirely limited to sounds of the Jupiter 8, Juno 60, SH 101 & TR-808.

10 TRILLION SUNS is a synth-driven solo project led by Ken Caldwell with contributions from friends. The full-length album, MOONS, was preceded by two singles and a debut EP, Fiora Swimwear, in 2020. Now based in Detroit, Ken began the project while working in Ann Arbor. He was previously the drummer for local band Supercollider and supports Chinook with keyboards and percussion. ... more
